Real Flavors and a giveaway

recently sent me some samples of their products to try.

Real Flavors is a privately held and operated natural flavoring company, FDA registered,
that has been satisfying clients for over a decade.

Here are a few recipes I created with 3 of their products:

Vanilla Ginger Beer
3 oz ginger beer
1 oz dark rum
½ lime, juiced
A "warmer" take on a Moscow Mule!

French Toast Cocoa
1 cup hot cocoa
It's like breakfast in a cup!!!

Garlic Carrots
Cut carrots in 1 1/2 in pieces and quarter each piece
Season carrots with lemon pepper and saute until tender.
Everything taste better with Garlic!!

Would you like to WIN a sample of
Butter Pecan Pie Hip Syrup?
I can imagine this added to coffee, whipped cream and waffle or pancake batter!

The rules are simple:

and come back and leave a comment telling me what flavor/product looks intriguing to you!
(check out their flavored extracts!!)

I will pick a winner on January 19th!
(If you do not have a blog or web address, leave me your email address)

Valentine Ideas....

Here are some inexpensive creative ideas and decorations for Valentine's Day
TEN on the 10th,
where bloggers share ideas that cost under $10 on the 10th of the month!!

I was "late" for the party this time, so I will not be part of the blog hop, however hop around to see what other bloggers came up with, their links are at the bottom of the post!

Take a $3.00 can of spray paint and "pretty up" your snowbanks!

Use glass enamel paint to add flair to a plain glass votive dish ($1 at Dollar store)

Make some candy treat pouches for the kiddies (1 sheet of felt for $1.29 and a piece of plastic I had around the house):

Paint some cheap wooden craft hearts and hang them on your treat jar
(wooden hearts from craft store for $1)....

....or candlesticks....

...or cupboard doors...

...or bake some mini cookies (ingredients I had on hand)...

...look around your home for "heart shaped" items and display them together:

...and look on your bookshelf for inspiration:

You'll be surprised what you will find....

...and when all else fails, a bowl of kisses and hugs are always a festive touch ($3.00)!

Life slows down in January....

The decorations are down, the parties are over, the company has gone home, the sweets are all eaten,  the drinks have been downed, and my home is back to normal!

I am now settling in for a long winter - January and February can be quite challenging in central NY!
