This is an easy way to make a mimosa, and it can sit for a few minutes while you prepare breakfast!
There are a variety of seasonal silicone molds available, or you can use a basic ice cube tray. I chose to use an "owl" mold. I usually bake quick bread muffins in this mold.....
.....but this time I simply poured cider into two of them to create "ice cubes"
Before taking them out of the mold I prepped the champagne coupes by dipping one side into Caramel Sauce and some seasonal sprinkles:
You can use frosting, melted chocolate or marshmallow, too, and then dip into sprinkles:
To make a Mimosa, you can use champagne, brut, moscato, prosecco (or a bubbly soda or white grape juice for a "mocktail"). This is what I had on hand:
I placed the cider ice cube onto the coupe and poured the Brut on top and let it site for a few minutes for the ice cube to begin to melt. Because these cubes are so large, it wasn't necessary for it to melt all the way.
A few minutes gave me time to prepare scrambled eggs and microwave a few pieces of bacon!
CHEERS!
Sounds like a tasty combination, and I love the owl shapes.
