Tales of The Traveling Tote #44

The Tales of the Traveling Tote is a series of adventures that share where our Mackenzie Childs tote bags have taken us.  Four times a year a group of bloggers each write a connected post about the places we have been. We have built incredible friendships through our blogs and we hope you enjoy our tales as much as we do!

To read about how it all began, go HERE

June took us to Cape Cod - "my happy place"

We visited the Brewster Flats...

Measuring approximately 12,000 acres at low tide, the tidal flats that run along the coastline of Cape Cod Bay are the largest flats in North America. The unique area extends some 9.7 miles along the shore from Brewster to North Eastham and can extend up to 2 miles out in the bay.

Looking back to the shoreline:

We also took a little hike out to The Knob in Falmouth:

The Wandering Mug came along....

The new Sandwich Boardwalk is mush safer and stronger than the one blown apart from a storm two years ago:

A day spent walking around Plymouth brought back memories from 11th grade when 6 of us skipped school and the car broke down....needless to say we had to fess up and accept the punishment of 10 hrs detention!

We spent a weekend camping in our daughter's gorgeous camper on a hot 4th July weekend.

Decorating the golf cart for the "golf cart patriotic parade" was a highlight.  The pool was perfect for cooling down and making friendship bracelets and painting rocks was a fun time:

Lake Ontario on a hot summer morning was as calm as could be:

I enjoyed working at the store in Aurora during the Barn Sale:

Lynne and I were a great team!

August

I took a calligraphy class in Rochester to brush up on my skills:

The Historical Ghost Tour in Oswego, NY was a fun and spooky night:

It was a busy month with lots of game nights with friends, the NYS Fair, lunches/dinners with friends and family and visits from two of our grandsons:

And we are currently in Ohio visiting the other two grandsons, this silly one who sends me a selfie daily and the other who is an excellent soccer player!

  2. Patti, your adventures look like a perfect summer itinerary! I love that you get back to your stomping grounds regularly. The Ohio camper adventure and golf cart parade looked like great fun. I can't get over how, watching through the years, Carter has grown into.such a strikingly handsome young man and soccer star. You must be so proud!
You've become a staple within the M-C camp, and it's a privilege knowing you and sharing our tales among friends and acquaintances! Happy September!
