Have you ever taken a cookie decorating class?
A local baker offered a class at Willow Rock Brewery and three of us signed up to improve our decorating skills!
It was very organized! Each participant received all supplies needed to frost and decorate 15 mini cookies in a St Patrick's Day theme:
Leprechaun beards, 4 leaf clovers, lips, beer mugs and rainbow mug huggers:
We learned to outline the edges first.....
...then fill in the center.....
...and then decorate:
We used 4 colors for the rainbows.....
....then added clouds:
The beer mugs were my favorite to decorate:
We were sent home with supplies to package the cookies. I am " all about presentation" so this was a fabulous idea!!
And here is the final presentation:
It was a fun evening with friends, however our general consensus is that we really appreciate the time that goes into decorating cookies and will most likely buy them from now on!
