Playing with food...

I have to say I enjoy "playing with food" and making it fun as well as appetizing!

Here are a few simple ideas:

Turn Pumpkin Donut Holes into "acorns" to add to a fall dessert tray:

All you need is 4 ingredients:

Surprise someone with a few:

~~~~~~~~~~
Cheese can be served in plain ol' slices or you can cut it into cute little shapes:
Are you wondering what I do with the leftover pieces?
I chop it up and use it for quiches, scrambled eggs, or twice baked potatoes!
~~~~~~~~~

My grandson, Callan, has enjoyed fishing this summer, so we gathered these treats....

and made "fishing poles":

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Who doesn't like a donut?  Add a few plastic teeth and chocolate chips to make these scary donuts!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Do you know someone who loves to paint - or are you having a paint party??  Use a roll of store bought sugar cookie and make some palettes with. m&Ms and a pretzel stick:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or use the cookie dough to make "owls":
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Chocolate covered Oreos are a quick and easy treat to make.  I turned these into Frankensteins:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Silicone molds come in a variety of shapes and designs.  These banana bread owls were delicious - especially with cinnamon butter, pressed into a leaf mold!
