The Tales of the Traveling Tote is a series of adventures that share where our Mackenzie Childs tote bags have taken us. Four times a year a group of bloggers each write a connected post about the places we have been.
On Feb 26, 2015, I proposed the idea of the Tales of the Traveling Tote to a few bloggers. We have been a consistent group for 9 years while a few members have come and gone due to busy lives and/or "blogging retirement". (Linda G, Lea, Samantha, Katie and Cherry Kay).
It is always fun to share our travels with you and we have met new many friends along the way. We also have given away almost 40 Mackenzie-Childs gifts throughout the years to thank our readers for following our tales.
I was recently recognized in the Charlotte airport with my Traveling Tote by a gal from Florida who follows our tales!
We hope you enjoy The Tales of the Traveling Tote as much as we do!

Here's what Miss Kenzie and I have been up to:
Debby (left, our giveaway host, see below) and I met at the Everson Museum in December and took this pic by the MacKenzie-Childs tree I decorated for the Festival of Trees and Lights
The holidays were busy and fun and we spent Christmas in Rochester and Face Timed with the Ohio family:
A new Roller Skating rink opened up in our area and I returned to skating weekly after 20 years! Check out those laces!!
In February I flew down to Palm Beach Gardens, FL for a week in the sun:
Juno Beach
It has been a quiet winter and we truly look forward to traveling again later this month when we take our two daughters, their husbands and our 4 grandsons to Disney World for a week!

Patti, such a cute pic of you and Deb with the MKC Christmas tree. Getting away to the beach is always fun. How exciting to take the grands to Disney World. We have never been, however I have been to Disneyland hundreds of time. We lived in Anaheim. I looked forward to seeing those pics.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we could get together at the museum, and I enjoyed seeing your wonderful MKC Christmas tree. Your grandson is adorable and I bet you enjoy spoiling him. Your renewed interest Roller skating must make you feel young again :-) Happy March!

ReplyDeleteRoller skates to flip flops! That's a huge jump! Goodness, I couldn't tell you the last time I had on a pair of roller skates. I bet it was fun! Skating was certainly a huge part of my childhood. Flips flops were too because I grew up on the Gulf Coast. Flip flops were easy beach shoes. Great photo of you and Deb. Have fun at Disney World!
ReplyDeleteWow that is so exciting that you are skating regularly. I bet it is such thrilling exercise. Just love those flip flops too. You and Deb have so many fun get together. I am jealous.
ReplyDeleteWOW, Patti! Congrats on roller skating again. I think I'd probably break my neck if I tried to nowdays. You are brave - and who wouldn't be with those adorable skates and fabulous MC laces, right? And to get to Florida for a winter break to wear your awesome flip flops. Whoo hoo. Sounds heavenly to me. Glad you have been enjoying yourself. : - )
ReplyDeleteLove your post,Patti. And WOW on the roller skating. I used to love to skate but have an ankle that won't let me do that anymore. I used to live in Palm Beach Gardens on the PGA end of it. I loved living there and fought moving back north (obviously, I lost)...lol. Have a great week. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHow fun that someone recognized you in Charlotte, Patti! Your trip to Palm Beach Gardens looked super calm and relaxing, perfect to beat winters in NY. But back in NY, i am amazed at you picking up the skating again. You go, girl. You're a badass in my book!
ReplyDeleteI really need a beach trip about now! I'm happy to know that I have a famous friend!!! ;P
ReplyDeleteI would love to meet you and Deb one day...y'all have the most fun! Wow, those laces on your skates! I love them! I was sad to miss this time, but I posted about my travels this morning.
