Under $10 on the 10th - A Valentine Gift

Under $10 on the 10th is a monthly challenge blog hop where we create something that costs under $10, relating to a theme, and hosted by Tammy @Patina and Paint, on the 10th of the month.  If you would like to join us, let me know! Visit the list of creative bloggers at the bottom of this post.

Here's an easy, inexpensive and useful Valentine gift for a friend that can be made for under $10!

Face Cloth Cupcake

The supplies are few:
A plastic or ceramic ramekin ($1)
2 facecloths (red and white - or pink and white) ($2)
An artificial strawberry or cherry (or a peppermint or Hershey kiss)
Ribbon

Fold the two face cloths in an accordion fold 3-4 times and place in the ramekin, pulling up the center a bit:

Place the topping on the center and secure a ribbon around the ramekin with a glue dot or a dob of hot glue:

Here is one with a thinner ribbon:

OR, if they love chocolate:

You might remember this post where I made 'cupcakes' from fuzzy sox:

This will be my last "Under 10 on the 10th" but watch for more inexpensive crafting in the future!

  4. This would be a great little favor to sit on each place setting to give to your guest. I am pinning this just to do for our families Valentine's dinner. My kids will love it! Thanks for sharing Patti.
