This is one of my favorite fall items to pull out of my decoration bins. It's a large enamel tray and I have used it quite often.
Recently I used it for dinner - just for me - as John was at a golf tournament and dinner with his buddies.
I ate dinner out on the back patio.....
.... and set the tray with a stack of dishes and a pretty napkin folded as a rose!
I flanked a melamine fall dish with 2 Mackenzie-Childs dishes and topped them with an artificial pumpkin:
I used the MacKenzie-Childs Black Tie flatware and a little fall arrangement in an enamel herb pot:
The pillow was made by my dear friend, Jenna, @ The Painted Apron.
You can see her lovely work HERE
The dinner was delish!
John doesn't like "breakfast for dinner" so when he isn't here for dinner, I often will make a myself a 'breakfast dinner'. So, what did I make?
Quiche and salad is always a quick fix!
Then I wrapped a blanket around my shoulders and flipped thru a few magazines until the sun set and the temps dropped!
Sounds perfect
ReplyDeleteHow fun to treat yourself with a beautifully decorated Fall tray and dinner al fresco! I love quiche for dinner, yum... Thank you for the shout out and links, I am so glad you still love your pillow, I love seeing it in your photos :) We are supposed to finally get cooler temps later this week, and hopefully there will be some outdoor dining soon~

You really know how to “treat yo’self!!!!” It’s so important to surround yourself with things that make you happy and just relax.
ReplyDeleteA lovely way to enjoy your dinner or breakfast on the terrace. Such a pretty setting with the tray and MC's pieces. I really love the napkin folded into a rose and Jenna's pillow Is lovely and perfect for the setting. The recipe sounds delicious. Have a wonderful week......
ReplyDeleteLovely fall setting, Patti! I sometimes set a table for one. It's relaxing to dine alfresco with a good book or magazine. Your details are perfectly fall.
