The Tales of the Traveling Tote #14

The Tales of the Traveling Tote is a series of adventures that share tales of where our Mackenzie Childs tote bags have taken us.  Four times a year a group of bloggers each write a connected post about the places we have been. We have built incredible friendships through our blogs and we hope you enjoy our travels as much as we do!

To read about how it all began, go HERE

December was a hectic month with lots of entertaining and company.  This tote came in handy to deliver little gifts to friends and neighbors:

And this is where "Miss Kenzie" has sat for the winter months, holding fleece throws to cover me as I watch my "educational" Bravo shows!!

We have had our share of snow and ice this past winter and it isn't over yet - I am quite anxious for spring!

Our 2nd grandson, Callan, was born at the end of January, so we drove out to Ohio (7.5 hr drive) to meet him!  He is such an alert baby and I smothered him with hugs and kisses all week long.  Once I realized how well he fit into my tote, I considered kidnapping him and bringing him back to NY!

Scarlett, their pooch, also had to get in on the action!

Some day Callan will see these photos and realize how crazy his "Nina" really was!

Another thing I have enjoyed this winter is going to the movies - I have seen some good ones, and a few flops.  This is a Saturday night ritual with a good friend - while John stays home and watches his "sports" on TV!

Meet my new tote bag, "Mr Dilly", as in "Pica".....that makes me laugh!  This was a gift from MacKenzie-Childs last month and I can't wait to bring it to the beach!

But we won't be going to the beach for quite a while as the lake is still frozen.
In this photo the lake looks like clouds, however the lake blends into the clouds on the horizon!

As you can see, it was a quiet winter!

  9. Patti, I couldn't wait to see how you styled Callan in all your totes. I knew it would be clever, and it is! You are the queen of keeping the roads hot - no chance for ice to stay long - anywhere - when you're in the picture.
I love the fact the MacKenzie-Childs acknowledged your loyalty as a consumer and ambassador for their brand with the giveaway. One for us, and one for you. And a perfect name. Dilly Dilly!!

  12. Patti, Callan would have disappeared in my tote too, if I were there. I think that is the best tote picture I have ever seen, especially the one with it in your hand - haha - he will love these photos. And I am sure Miss Kenzie loved toting that bundle of love around. I did consider putting our new grandbaby in Miss Madi K - maybe I will when she gets a little older. I think her 2 1/2 year old sister would be just like Scarlett and want to hop in the tote! A struggle to be replaced by a new little one!!!
Isn't Mr. Dilly a beautiful bag! Wow, I love the detail and texture on him. Such a fabulous surprise and treat from Mac Kenzie Childs. You deserved it!

You did see a lot of movies. I have not been to the theatre but have seen Victoria and Abdul on Netflix.I made notes to check on several others. I've heard great things about The Greatest Showman on Earth so I am anxious to see that for sure.
I'm excited to receive the tote soon. Will let you know when it arrives. I really was thrilled to win.
