And it happened again....

See this pan?  It's going in the garbage....

...because it happened again...

...not as bad as this time...

...but I scream"UNCLE" and I admit defeat...

...as I "glued" it back together with lemon icing....

...and screamed a few curse words....

...I laughed because I don't have to wash the pan!

Don't bother sending me all your tips and tricks - the pan is GONE!

So my new mantra:

Now I feel better and I think I will have a piece of lemon cake!

  2. Patti, I'm laughing so hard right now that Trip came upstairs to see why I'm laughing so hard! I feel your pain...I've had issues with a similar pan!

  9. I’m sure you remember the ol’ Becky Honecker trick....the ugliest cakes make the prettiest trifles!!! Can’t tell you how many times I faked it till I made it beautiful...heheh...Foods, that is!!!
    Bet it’s delicious!!

  10. The best part was not having to wash it! I laughed so hard at that! My sister Joni just sent me a Williams Sonoma 3 D Christmas tree cake pan. Now I am scared!!

  11. 🤣 I thought it looked pretty good when you "glued" it back together! I think the cheap teflon coated bundt pans work the best, much better than those heavy fancy ones!! Cheers!

  12. I have always been hesitant to buy the beautiful pans because I struggle already with a regular Bundt pan! You do realize that the part that breaks off has no calories! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

  13. Same here...I threw one away last winter...not as pretty as yours and I hated it's guts. :)

  14. Clearly, you and I have similar luck with Bundt pans. I cannot tell you how many I have purchased in the past, only to donate all of them. I did discover that a generous coating of Baker's Joy cooking spray helps a lot, but to save myself the trouble of making cakes that look like the one you show here, I have sworn off of baking completely. Fun post!

  15. Hi Patti,
Well, it sure is a good looking Bundt Pan (to look at). The cake would be delicious, my Grandmother used to say" the ones that are not perfect are always the best". Thanks so much for sharing your post with us at Full Plate Thursday. Have a great week and come back soon!

  16. Patti, You are hilarious! I can't tell you how many times I've ended up with a trifle instead of the planned bundt cake!! Or little chunks on pretty picks!! It does look like it was yummy, even though it was a naughty cake! Linda
