These photos got lost in my photo files - either that or I might have thought they weren't worthy and set them aside....BUT I am in a blog funk, so I thought I would share them!
A friend came by one afternoon for some sweets...
...so I tossed the tablecloth on my small table and pulled out some paper placemats...
...vintage cross-stitch napkins and pretty dishes.
We enjoyed some homemade cookies and brownies:

This setting highlights the napkin rings I made (HERE)
I think they overpowered the the small setting, but I let it go...
...this table was set for a light lunch...
...and I used my favorite color - green!
These spring colors made me wish for spring...
...on a cold and snowy afternoon!
I love using my stack of pretty luncheon dishes!
This was a table set for tea, and I think it needed some greenery, or some type of colorful centerpiece...
...but I adore these napkins...
...and my favorite vintage milk glass tea cups...
...and Mom's vintage milk glass dessert dishes...
I am taking a little break, while I "get out of dodge" for a few weeks....and maybe that will help me to get out of this blogging funk!!
I love your table settings, Patti. The china makes my heart go pitter patter. Have a great week.
ReplyDeletePatti, I hope you have a great time on your trip. Love your tables. It doesn't matter if it's simple. What matters is it's always a thoughtful gesture when you set a table for family or friends. Your colorful dishware would make any guest happy. Love that napkin gathered with your ring!
ReplyDeleteOh man oh man......I need a beach in the worst way. Sure hope that's where you're headed!!! Instead? I'll be keeping 4 of 6 grandchildren for whole week while their moms and dads go to beach. Wha?????? Something wrong with that picture!!!

Love those dishes! Such pretty spring colors and I like their wavy edges. And who wouldn't want to eat dessert with polka dot forks!! How fun. Enjoy your trip!
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful dishes! Lovely table settings and I'm sure your guests enjoyed the eye candy. I bet you return with plenty to blog, enjoy your getaway.........
ReplyDeleteSuch adorable, whimsical dishes. Are they Mc Kenzie Childs or Mikasa? I have something very close to this and feel in love with it when I seen it. The pastels bring out the child in me. So cute.
