I got a little energetic and made new window treatments for my living room and dining room. These are quick and easy to make and you can see tutorials on how I did it here:
I wanted to bring some "spring green" into the room...
...so I will be on the hunt for some accent pieces this week.
This is the old dining room window treatment. This one has been up for the four years we have lived in the house, so I was ready for a change there, too!
A local fabric store is going out of business and I was able to make this for only $6:
This is made in a similar manner as the other treatment, but with a much wider board.
Now that the sun is finally shining, I MUST get to painting some of the furniture that has been stored in my cellar all winter!

Very pretty, Patti! Changing window treatments can give a room a whole new look. Love the fabrics you chose.
ReplyDeleteYour sewing projects are always so stunning! I could never get the trim to look that good! I took down the valences in my family room a few months ago because I thought they were too drab...I have never gotten around to putting anything up to replace them. You've inspired me to go shop for some new fabric!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Everything looks really nice, Patti. I love all the windows in your home and how bright everything is! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWe have only been in our home since Oct. so I am still deciding on window treatments. Haven't done the dining room yet, but I don't sew so have to purchase my treatments:( Have a great week. XO, Pinky

ReplyDeleteVery pretty Patti! Hopefully the sun is shining by you today and it's as warm as it is here. Has Spring finally sprung in NY????

Patti, I admire your talent and your energy. This looks very nice.
ReplyDeleteFYI ~ for some reason Blogger is not updating my new posts on blog sidebars. It has my latest post as 3 weeks ago, instead of all the recent posts since that time.
