Baby Shower Favors

Remember the engagement and wedding and  baby announcement of my niece?  Well, the baby shower is coming up and I made the favors.

These are large tealight candles:

and I wrapped them in cello bags with 2 different tags attached:

I also made marshmallow roses.  This was so easy.
All you need is pink marshmallows, lollipop sticks and pink candy pearls....

...leaves with wire and cello bags.

I dipped the top of the marshmallows in water and pressed them into the pearls:

I poked a lollipop stick into the bottom, wrapped them in cello bags, twisted the wired leaves around the stick, and tied a ribbon on each.

I placed them into little oval boxes to be placed on the tables:

I made 40 of each of the favors and it took very little time - all for a special niece and to celebrate the anticipation of my first "great niece"!

Spring window treatments....

I got a little energetic and made new window treatments for my living room and dining room.  These are quick and easy to make and you can see tutorials on how I did it here:

I wanted to bring some "spring green" into the room...

...so I will be on the hunt for some accent pieces this week.

This is the old dining room window treatment.  This one has been up for the four years we have lived in the house, so I was ready for a change there, too!

A local fabric store is going out of business and I was able to make this for only $6:

This is made in a similar manner as the other treatment, but with a much wider board.

Now that the sun is finally shining, I MUST get to painting some of the furniture that has been stored in my cellar all winter!

I figured it out....

Thanks for the suggestions on how to adhere the pearls to the marshmallows.  There is no chocolate nor frosting on these, but I figured it out on my own - so simple!

To adhere the pearls you simply dip the marshmallow top in water and pat dry, then dip it into the pearls.

I will be making these in a few weeks for a baby shower - I will share photos then!

I need help....

Does anyone know how the pearls are attached to these marshmallows?

I want to make these and can't find the directions - I wish "pinners" would all follow the simple procedure and rules to pinning :-)
