With the world eagerly following the crowning of a new princess, you might say Kate Middleton has a lot on her plate. From finding the right dress to finalizing the 3,000 person guest list, to selecting the perfect cake, it seems as if this bride could use a little help!
Betty Crocker decided to help the royal couple by offering four Royal Wedding Cake Designs to choose from for their special day. Inspired by the traditional British wedding saying "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue," they´d like to know what my readers think of these magical cakes!
Timeless and elegant, this suspended cake is inspired by a vintage chandelier with a modern twist
Fresh and surprising, this cone-shaped cake transforms the traditional British topiary into a wedding dessert buffet
This cake borrows from a dessert trend on the rise - pie! The cake uses the pie crust as fondant on the cake, as well as for accents such as birds, a traditional English wedding cake icon
Royal by nature, blue is the perfect color for this wedding. This design takes inspiration from the heirloom sapphire ring and the feather "fascinator" hates favored by the future Royal. Inside, this "peek-a-blue" cake features layers of Royal Blue Velvet Cake, a new spin on popular Red Velvet Cake.

ReplyDeleteI choose the something old one too, love it.
ReplyDeleteLove the something old -- when it comes to weddings...I'm all classic!
ReplyDeleteI vote for something old too. I would be afraid the blue cake would stain everyone's teeth or maybe dentures. OH MY! Wouldn't that just be a hoot.
