Tales of the Traveling Tote
It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news that our dear friend Jenna, from
The Painted Apron, has passed away. We will miss her blog posts where she shared her art work and painting tutorials, scrumptious recipes, creative and lovely tablescapes, stories about her beautiful grandchildren and family and especially her friendship! Heaven now has a sweet angel and may she watch over our travels.
It's been a busy fall season for us - here are a few of our travels and escapades:
In September we had lunch in Oswego with SIL and BIL overlooking Lake Ontario and then took our yearly trip to Vermont to visit family:
On the way home we had a few stops in the Adirondacks. Our rooms in Lake Placid and Old Forge had lovely lake views:
I worked at the Mackenzie-Childs store in Aurora and went apple picking at Beak & Skiff in Lafayette....
A group of "Macfriendzies" met for the Farmhouse and Production Tour in Aurora:
Kathy (from Tennessee) and I went to Boldt Castle and the winery in the Thousand Islands:
Our yearly trip to the local Pumpkin Patch is always fun:
We flew to North Carolina for a wedding - our girls and their families joined us for 5 days on the beach. We spent precious time with our 4 grandsons:
I took another Raku class:

Thanksgiving was spent in Ohio with our girls and our 4 grandsons, John's brother's family, (SIL, niece and nephew and great niece and great nephew):
Visit my friends to see where they have been this fall:
I loved seeing your fun travels, and especially the Adirondacks where my heart will always be. Your family photos are precious! Wishing you many more adventures with the "Macfriendzies". Happy Holidays Patti and John!
ReplyDeletePatti, you are most certainly a girl on the go. The Macfriendzies looked like a lot of fun, the Adirondaks beautiful in fall, and even though chilly, Wilmingron Beach fun with family. Tell me the secret to getting family rounded up for a decent photo?! Ours is impossible!
ReplyDeleteThank you for being the conduit for my getting to know Jenna initially through our tote. I am happy to call her friend and be able to be a recipient of all her talents.
Wow, you have definitely had a busy, packed season. I admire you for making the most of the time at hand. You are busy making memories! Like each of us, the loss of Jenna, hits hard. Yes, we have such lovely memories of knowing Jenna over these years, but I will truly miss her endearing friendship.
ReplyDeleteMerry Holidays ahead!
