Here's a delicious treat for an afternoon snack, an appetizer, or even for breakfast!
I made this for a Friday afternoon Happy Hour snack.
You can use type of flat bread - this is my favorite:
The recipe is simple and you can add or take away any ingredients!
I preheated the oven to 400° and placed one flatbread on a parchment lined baking sheet. I cut up one slice of ham and shredded some Havarti cheese (Havarti cheese is buttery and creamy, but you can use any type you like!))
The cheese acts as a "glue", holding everything in place. I thinly sliced some red onion....
....as well as an apple (I used a mandoline to get perfectly thin sliced pieces):
A little more Havarti, to hold everything in place, and a sprinkle of fresh thyme, and black pepper:
I baked it in the oven for 6-8 minutes, until the edges turned brown:
A quick and easy treat that is so delicious.....
....and perfect with a cocktail of apple cider and caramel vodka!
