Boozy Marshmallow Pops

Here's a fun little BOOZY treat:

These are easy to make for adult parties....a sweet treat with a hint of liquor flavor!

Boozy Marshmallow Pops

Equipment

  • 24 wooden skewers
  • styrofoam

Ingredients

  • 24  marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup blue sanding sugar
  • 1/2 cup red sanding sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sanding sugar
  • tequila, Malibu Rum or peach schnapps, pour two shots into a glass
Directions

  • Using regular toothpicks, push the skewers into each marshmallow. Dip the marshmallows into the glass of liquor. Don’t let it soak; just quickly in and quickly out! Tap the skewer against the rim of the glass several times to knock off any excess liquor. Use a spoon to spoon the sugar over the entire surface of the marshmallow.  Stand each up in a sheet of styrofoam, by poking the opposite end of skewer into the styrofoam.  Allow the marshmallows to dry for 2 hours.  These will last for 7 days in a food-safe container on your countertop.

These can also be made by dipping the marshmallows in water, then sugar, for children!

  2. I absolutely LOVE this idea! They look so festive, the sugar colors could be changed up to fit any holiday, and they sound delicious. This is a keeper!
