Cheesy Onion Appetizer

Here's a quick and easy appetizer, using only 2 ingredients:

Cheesy Onions

All you need is a small onion and some cheddar cheese.  I used silicone baking cups for easy clean up:

I also used a chili pepper cheddar, but any cheddar will do!

I grated about 3-4 oz of cheese for 6 appetizers and sliced 6 thin slices of white onion, small enough to fit in the baking cups:

I layered cheese, onion and cheese again:

I baked them @ 425° for 6-8 minutes and let them cool a bit in the cups, and they slid right out onto the plate!

It was a perfect little snack for an afternoon happy hour!
