Kissing Balls and Oreo Pops

Thursday night 9 of us friends went to Beaver Lake Nature Center to make Kissing Balls.  This is the 3rd year that I have participated and it is always a fun event!

Tobey and I had dinner at Olive's Eatery before meeting the others at Beaver Lake Nature Center in Baldwinsville, NY:

We were given a form and oasis and had to cut the greenery ourselves.  Some of us decorated with picks, ornaments and pinecones and others will do that at home.  These can last throughout the winter, hanging outside.

Lots of laughs and giggles!

I decorate my outdoor holiday decor in purple to match my front door :

Michelle made the cutest wooden ornaments for us:

I made little treats for the group:

Chocolate Covered Oreos Pops

These are so easy to make - just dip an Oreo into chocolate and add a few sprinkles and a thin popsicle stick.  I have mold I use, but you don't need to use a mold.

I found these cute little bags at Walmart - appropriate for all the greenery we used in making our Christmas Balls!

It was a fun night with girlfriends and an annual event I always look forward to!

Here we are in 2019, the last time this class was available, due to Covid:

Wouldn't this  Lantern  look fabulous with fresh greenery on top?  It's on sale!

  2. Oh my, sounds like a lovely idea making kissing balls! I had no idea what kind of kissing balls you meant when I read the title, but what a fun way to get together with friends! And I must say, you are after my own heart with decorating your outdoor with purple holiday decor. It certainly looks pretty! As much as I love purple, I'm afraid of what my neighbors would say if I did that, lol! You go, Patti! Have a wonderful holiday!
