Don't throw away those old ties....

It's time for the "Do It Over Designers" blog hop, hosted by

This is an easy upcycling craft, a wreath that can be made in less than 30 minutes!

I purchased an 8" styrofoam wreath at Hobby Lobby and cut apart 8 ties:

I simply wrapped each tie around the wreath and hot glued it in place:

This is how it looked on the backside:

To finish off the back, I hot glued the narrow side of the tie around the wreath to hide any bulges and make it lay flat:

This size wreath took only 8 ties:

I am sharing this recycling craft with the
"Do It Over Designers"

Hop around to see what these other designers created:

  6. I'm thinking of all the ties given to Good Will and how they could have been turned into a pretty wreath. This is a wonderful idea for a unique wreath. Great job!

  8. Wonderful looking tie wreath! I love quick and easy projects. I have ties I saved from my dad and plan to make a couple of gifts for my niece and nephew so they'll have something in remembrance of their pop pop.
