We are spending a few days in Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks.
We aren't deep in the woods like we were a few weeks ago, but rather staying at the Saranac Waterfront Lodge:
We are hoping to catch some relaxation and foliage!
Here's a cute cake to make for those of you that love a fall campfire:
I baked a simple 2 layer cake and frosted it with chocolate frosting. I broke some chocolate batons to use as "firewood":
The "flames" were made from melted chocolate buttons - I swiped the chocolate onto parchment paper and let it set:
Fun and delicious!!
"I think I love Fall most of all!"
Very cute Patti! The lodge looks wonderful, enjoy!

This is so cute!!! My best friend and her granddaughter recently went camping and plan to go again soon. I’m going to forward her the link to this. Maybe it’s something they’d enjoy making together before or after the excursion!🏕🍰
ReplyDeleteI know I love fall most of all! Your cake looks delicious and perfect for a campfire. I'd choose that beautiful waterfront lodge over camping anyway! Enjoy!
