Carrot Fries

                  Carrot Fries

Have you made Carrot Fries?

These are so delish as the natural sugar in the carrot caramelize in the oven and the natural sweetness of the carrot gets stronger!  There are fewer carbs and calories than in potato or sweet potato fries.

    • Here's how simple they are to make:

  • 8-10 large carrots cut in 4" square strips (I use a french fry cutter)
  • 2 tablespoon canola or vegetable oil (not EVOO as the oven temp is too high)
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable seasoning or everything seasoning
  • 1/2 garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper  (You can add any type of spicy seasoning, too!)
  • Toss everything in a plastic bag and place on a sheet of parchment on a cookie sheet.  Bake at 425° for 20 minutes and serve immediately.
  • Chopped chives or parsley for garnish, optional.

A delicious and colorful side dish!

  1. The carrots look yummy! Have to try them. We use the same brand of spices and they seem to have discontinued the stir fry blend.

  2. Those look great, Patti! I thought when I first saw them that you had made them in an air fryer (which I don't have), so I was glad to see you baked them. Pinned!

  3. This is such a healthier option and I love you can bake in the oven. I thought for sure you were using an air fryer which I don't have. I'll try these soon.......

  5. These look great, and I'm always trying to save carbs wherever I can. I also like that they're baked and not fried. Thanks for sharing!

  6. Looks good. Are they crunchy or soft? Love baked or roasted carrots. I have that seasoning and use it a lot. I found at TJ Maxx. I also look at their seasonings. Our Bealls Outlet has quite a few different seasonings too. I will need to try this recipe. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
