Cape Cod on the Patio....

Every now and then we eat out on the back patio.....

...and tonight it is on paper plates!!  I threw some cushions down on the sitting wall and brought out this tray to set the table while John gassed up the grill!

We ate Burgers, Pickles and Apple Coleslaw on these cute Cape Cod paper plates, to remind us of one of our favorite spots!

I used MacKenzie-Childs large paper plates underneath:

When I lived and taught on the Cape I always enjoyed finding the lighthouses.....

...to read about 14 historical lighthouses on the Cape, go HERE

However there are 16:
Race point Light, Provincetown
Wood End Light, Provincetown
Long point Light, Provincetown
Highland Light, North Truro
Nauset Light, Eastham
Three Sisters Lighthouse, Eastham
Chatham Light, Chatham
Monomoy point Light Chatham
Stage Harbor Light, Chatham
West Dennis Light, West Dennis
Hyannis Harbor Light, Hyannis
Sandy Neck Light, West Barnstable
Nobska Light, Woods Hole
Point Gammon Lighthouse, Hyannis
Wings Neck Lighthouse, Bourne
Cleveland Ledge Light, Falmouth

I am pretty sure I have seen them all throughout the years!

I certainly miss the Cape!!

It was a fun way to reminisce and enjoy our burgers!

  1. Sounds lovely Patti and how interesting that you lived on the Cape. I like it there too but haven't been in years. You probably appreciate it more because you know your way around.

  2. Some day I am going there too. We know the west a lot more than we know the east. Maybe when hubby retires! It was sure fun seeing all of your MC posts. You should have been a winner!!!!

  4. Oh I loved Cape Cod!! My PNW best friend and I went up for a gal pal trip. We stayed in a windmill b&b in Chatham. Rented a car and drove to every lighthouse!! Stayed one night in Provincetown!! Just the best trip ever!!! Loved your paper plates!

  5. Looks like a fun spot to dine and those cute paper plates ensure easy clean up! Lighthouses have always fascinated me, and always make me wonder about the sailors that depended on them many years ago...
