MacKenzie-Childs Courtyard Tote GIVEAWAY!

My favorite company, MacKenzie-Childs, sent me a new tote bag!

And we also have one to giveaway to one of my lucky readers!!

I am fortunate that I live only an hour away from Aurora, NY, where you can find the Mackenzie-Childs store, production studio, farm and talented artists.
They also have a new store at Del Lago Casino, which is only 45 min away!

I started the blogger group of "The Tales of the Traveling Tote", where 12 of us share our travels and tales of places our MacKenzie-Childs tote bags take us. We have named our tote bags and purses and I have decided that my new tote will be "Mr. Dilly".  You can read about my travels in the past few years HERE.  We will all share our next "tales" on March 1st, so stop back to travel along with us!

As you probably already know,  I have been a fan and collector of many of their products since 1983. I enjoy their ceramics, enamel, furniture, home decor and especially their accessories.  You might remember this post (MEN!), where I lost this battle:

When I received the generous gift of this Courtyard Tote Bag from Mackenzie-Childs, the first thing that came to my mind is that it will be a perfect "beach tote"!  It is the ideal size to hold all my beach gear, a good book as well as my lunch tote!

We have had over 100" of snow this winter so I am dreaming of warm weather, sunny days and summer cocktails!

The designers love interpreting MacKenzie-Childs style in new ways, and the all-weather weave of the Large Courtyard Tote proved the perfect challenge. The striking woven diamond pattern is dressed up with an accent tassel and a MacKenzie-Childs nameplate, all in cream and black with touches of gold. This tote is made of all-weather plicker, with a wooden tassel head with poly-rayon silk, and a gold-plated metal alloy with enamel accent. Count on this casual-chic tote as your go-to from beach weekend to farmers’ market to garden party and beyond.  The tote measures: 17" wide, 11" long handle, 13.5" tall

Would you like to win one of these tote bags?

Leave me a message in the comment area and tell me how you would use this fabulous tote and make sure there is a way for me to contact you (email addy) and I will randomly pick a winner next week.

And if you don't win, you might want to purchase one HERE!

If you leave a comment as "anonymous", don't forget to leave your name and email addy!

GOOD LUCK!!
and thank you to MacKenzie-Childs!
Contest ends Friday Feb 23rd

Yes, this would make a great beach tote, but I would load it with my sketch book, watercolors, and markers, a bottle of water and a snack and be set for a day of drawing and painting en plein air! Your MKC tote collection is admirable, I didn't realize you had THAT many!! :) Thanks for doing this great giveaway!

  29. As all the other ladies have said - I'd love to win this adorable tote! I have never been to a MKC store and didn't realize they sold totes/bags until seeing Jenna's on her blog (the painted apron). I can think of many ways i would use the tote: put my yarn and crochet projects/quilting pieces in it so i could take it with me on road trips to visit my elderly mom. but the most fun way to use it would be to use it as my "boat bag". We have a pontoon boat and it would be perfect for a towel, sunscreen, water bottle, etc. pcpetunia@aol.com

  31. Hi Patti, love your blog and was inspired to start a little one myself and feature some of my MacKenzie pieces throughout my home. I always pass up any of the MacKenzie Childs items like purses & jewelry because I seem to always focus on home décor and making our home so nice. This made me think that I don't really spend a great deal of time on my personal self and probably should. I skip dressing up for work many times because I would rather have that 30 minutes to re-arrange a tabletop or hang a picture. Sometimes just a new purse can make a big difference in how you feel so I would love a chance to add my name to the drawing. Thanks for posting!

  81. Hi Patty, Have I got an idea!! While I covet this bag myself :), a group of Baldwinsville shop owners are having an event to raise funds for Vera House North, a shelter for abused women. Our group, A Cause to Celebrate will have the event Friday evening, May 4th at The Fireside Inn in Baldwinsville. There will be a food, music, dancing and a silent auction. Tickets are $30, $35 at the door. Giving this beautiful MacKenzie bag as a silent auction gift would raise much more than the retail value and go support many abused women and men! And part of the funds are going for local education against abuse as well! What do you think??? What a great way to pay it forward! xoxoxo Terri Webb and Barb Twombly, owners Two Twisted Sisters and Olives Eatery, Baldwinsville, NY oliveseatery@gmail.com

I’d love to win the tote and would use it every day! My MacKenzie-Childs collection truly just makes me smile, and this way I could take that MC happy feeling with me wherever I go. ❤️

  96. I would LOVE to carry this tote with everything I need for a long, (sometimes 14 hour day) at the Golisano Children’s Hospital. Being a NICU nurse I pack a “mary poppins bag” with snacks for breakfast lunch and dinner and many other little things I might need while I’m gone caring for the tiniest sickest humans! 👶🏼👶🏽👶🏾👶🏿

  98. I hot-footed it over here from Debbie's blog :) We've been blogging/cyber buddies for a LONG time. I started collecting MC about 15 years ago. Just a piece here and there. I would ask for the Courtly Check chargers for my birthday each year until I had a full set. What I don't have is a tote bag. I've always admired Debbie's and her Traveling Tote friends. This one is particularly beautiful and I love that tassel. I'd would take this everywhere I go and wear it proudly!

  99. I would use this on vacations when I do not want to drag everything in my purse with me, I might use for work if I don't have to bring in any thing that would spill or get sticky..I would find a cool spot for it to hang when not using because it deserves to be displayed in a proper place for my eyes to enjoy everyday!!! delfavero2@gmail.com

  100. Oh, Patti. What a great giveaway. If I were lucky enough to win it, I would definitely take it to the beach with a coordinating bathing suit that I hope to treat myself to. (I've lost 30 pounds since last summer and hope to lose 5 more before the beach. That might be hampered by a broken foot that has me chair bound for the past 2 weeks, waiting to hear how long I have to be non-weight bearing.)
Thanks for the chance to win.

  111. Patti, what a wonderful giveaway! I just discovered M-C a few years ago, but as of yet I don't own a piece. Because of my addiction, I've started adding touches of black and white to everything I create. Just a touch of black/white adds such a "pop" to anything. Please tick me, I'd use it to carry notebooks and stuff to all the meetings I attend. A busy lady NEEDS a M-C bag. Thanks, Sandy ruidosogirl2003@yahoo.com

  118. I met my husband at Syracuse University in 1961. I wasn't smart enough to start my MC collection then or maybe there was none. Now I live in AZ and can't get enough. Unfortunately I have no creative juices and can't make it to the barn sale. I am so happy to have found your site. A tote would be Devine!!!

  119. What fun little tote! I can see why your are planning to use it as a beach bag -- 100" of SNOW! Yikes. I would use it as my shopping tote when I get out shopping, doing errands, etc., because I try my best not to bring plastic bags home if I can help it. I could also see using this for my summertime cruises through the farmer's markets on Saturdays. This one is really cute with the tassel.

  120. Patti, what a wonderful contest. I moved down to South Carolina around 6 years ago. Boy do I miss my weekly trips to Mackenzie Childs and I never missed a barn sale. I feel so left out and I wish I was able to travel up north for this upcoming sale. I haven't met one person here who has heard of Mackenzie Childs, I feel like I moved to another planet. I love to win this and take it everywhere and show them a little bit of upstate New York.
    Hope I win.
    Thanks for doing this

  133. So exciting, what a fantastic giveaway! Fingers crossed to win! <3 If I had this tote, I would likely end up using it as my regular, daily family bag--which means that despite it's natural glamor as an MC bag, it would carry my wallet along with a couple of clean diapers for my toddler and some other things belonging to one of my two kiddos. Being a mom is the best thing that's ever happened to me (they're my first blood family, as I was adopted as a baby myself), but it's hard, messy work too! Having a fun tote to carry around from place to place while keeping our important things safely on my shoulder frees up both of my hands to hold the little hands and fingers of my two handsome men--and it would be an extra huge bonus to have a bag that makes me feel a bit more fabulous at the same time, right? I may not have the most thrilling plans for a bag like this, but it would most certainly add a bit of excitement to my otherwise very normal day--and for that I would be entirely grateful. Every day stuff should be made fun, don't you think? - LeahBaker9@gmail.com (Leah Baker)
