Rummage Heaven in Marcellus, NY....

For the past year, I have wanted to venture out to find Rummage Heaven in Marcellus, NY....

....which is located on a country road, not far from where we go apple picking in the fall.

The building is actually an old church, with exquisite stained glass windows...

...a choir loft...

...and you can step up into what was once the alter:

The building is quite unique....BUT then you start to discover all of the treasures inside and you can spend an hour or two just strolling around the 3 floors and numerous rooms!

There is furniture, home decor, garden items, tableware, wall decor....

 ...antiques and replicas...

...a shopper's paradise!

Their motto is very clearly stated with this sign:

If you are in the Syracuse area, Rummage Heaven is worth a visit!

Sunday Breakfast on the Go...

This morning I have set the counter for a quick "breakfast on the go".....

A girlfriend and I are heading to  Rummage Heaven in Marcellus, Mom is stopping by to do laundry, John is going golfing....

...so it's a bowl of muffins, fresh melons and coffee, and everyone can help themselves!

And later today, guess who arrives for the week.... CARTER! ....and we have him all to ourselves!!

Another fun MacKenzie-Childs Barn Sale....and more...

The last day of the Barn Sale began with a little drizzle at 8:00, but it didn't last long....

We chatted with some others who were as excited as we were...

...and we enjoyed the grounds...

...as the line moved swiftly...

...to begin the hunt for treasures...

...I continued my annual (sometimes semi-annual) tradition of taking a pic with Justin, from NYC ...

...and I met my Instagram friend, Susan...

...we peeked in the retail store and toured the Farmhouse...

...and then drove through Aurora to have lunch at the Pumpkin Hill Bistro.

We enjoyed the breeze from the lake on the outside patio...

...and delish spinach salads with chicken, walnuts, apples, cheese and bacon...

... and their pretty flower garden was in full bloom with lilies, foxgloves, coneflowers, hydrangeas and many more beautiful flowers...

...we then drove to Kings Ferry to "Ferry Tales"

....where Katie found a HUGE trunk to buy

...which meant emptying out all the Barn Sale bags, putting the trunk in - only to realize we couldn't open the trunk to put the bags inside - so the trunk came back out, the bags went inside and then the filled trunk went back into the car...and more bags were squished around it!!!

After all that hard work of shopping we drove to Skaneateles to the Patisserie for some breads and sweet treats!

A perfect ending of a fun filled day!

Here are a few pics of my favorite treasures from the Barn Sale:

Chandy shades....

...large serving tray, cocktail glasses, and 4 flower market luncheon plates...

...a casserbole...

...and a bag of stuff I haven't even unwrapped yet!

A few things I probably didn't need but I am fortunate that I get to treat myself each summer at the Barn Sale!

A day in Sharon Springs with the Beekman Boys....

This past Sunday, Mom and I went to Sharon Springs, NY to tour the Beekman Farm....

....the mansion was built in 1802...

...and the land is maintained and nurtured by these three men...

Josh......................................................Farmer John............................................Brent

 Farmer John fosters the goats....

...who took a liking to Mom...

...especially this one who kept nibbling on her!

Brent nurtures the flourishing flower gardens and Josh cultivates the vegetable garden that nourishes them throughout the year!

We were invited to taste the berries and cherries - and I caught Mom nibbling on a scallion!

The Beekman Mansion is a lovely home, sporting two USA flags, one that represents the year 1802 with only 15 stars, and our current flag....

....the back of the home has a lovely porch overlooking the flower gardens, fruit trees...

...and rolling hills (where they married)...

...a calming pond...

...with 2 chairs (However Brent says it's HIS "quiet" spot)...

....as we were saying goodbye...

...we stopped in town at the Beekman 1802 Mercantile...

...and made a few purchases ~ sweet Alanna was working and she was just a delight to meet...

...and we also had a few laughs upstairs...

...and tasted delicious Goat Cheese Ice Cream, infused with alcohol ~ YUM!...

...from the Little Pink Elephants (Facebook) (Website) ~ visit them to see the delectable varieties and flavors they have created...

...by then we were famished...

...so we walked across the street to the American Hotel...

...which was built in 1847...

...and enjoyed Sunday brunch...

...and we had time to shop some more...

...and then we went exploring in Canajoharie to Wintergreen Park:

It was a fulfilled day with Mom and another little adventure crossed off my list!!

I am sure that Brent was saying "and check out Patti from Pandora's Box"
