The Traveling Tote #6

Welcome to the 6th edition of the The Traveling Tote!

January was a lazy month for me.  I caught up on cleaning and organizing the house, painting Valentine hearts, St Patty's shamrocks and Easter bunnies, and some antiquing and shopping:

Syracuse Antique Exchange                                                     The House of S. Jaye Vendor Show

Our neighbor, Paris, came over to "play" one night and loved my tote:

Snowy winters are very common in central NY, but this year we never got any measurable snow until mid January...

...and it can be quite gloomy, and February brought even more snow...

...I considered hopping on a train...

...but this train was heading north....

...and my totes and I were dreaming of sunshine and warmth....

...so I hopped on the internet...

...and made reservations to go south!

So, while you are reading this, I am on my way to the Carolinas for some SUN and to visit some old neighbors and relatives!

I will tell you all about it in our June TT post!

  1. Paris looks very happy in your tote! Hope you are having fun. Bring back some warmth and sunshine from the Carolinas! It was almost 60 here on Sunday and gorgeous, but this week it's cold again.

  3. Patti, I was pretty much aligned with you and Miss Kenzie during these winter months, staying mostly indoors and just avoiding the bad weather (we made our reservations for South, too, and that alone was enough to hold me through the worst of the winter weather). Paris sure did look cute in your bag! I hope you're having a great time in NC - things should be blooming there. Enjoy and Happy March! I look forward to engaging with your readers with the chance at this month's giveaway.

  5. Hi Patti, I am very envious of your trip to warmer climates. We planned two mini getaways to southern states but both were cancelled last minute. I need some sunshine. The gloomy light is almost worse than piles of snow. Looking forward to hearing more about your trip! Linda

  6. January and February can get dark and dreary here as well. Happy you planned a getaway to warmer temps and hopefully sunshine. Enjoyed your pics from snowy NY, we seldom get snow here. Happy March!

  7. Well, I never think of you and the word lazy! You always have some project or adventure going on.
Glad you are in the Carolinas enjoying some warmer weather. It's nice here in TX, so can't complain, but a get away would be fun.
Paris is more agreeable in the tote than Sadie wanted to be. I think she thought I was taking her to the groomer in a new carrier. The look on her face was priceless. Will need to try again for a better photo op.
    Have fun and safe travels.
