More corks...

After I completed the "Cork Wall" I still had all of these corks left in my wine box:
So, I bought a straw wreath:....and made a "cork wreath":
I also bought a wine cheese plate to hang on the cork wall:
The wine bar is now complete!
Any idea what I can do with the rest of the corks?

  1. Hi Patti,
What a great idea. I love the cork wreath. I also think that corks look pretty in a clear glass apothecary jar.

Cool cork wall! I like what you did with the leftovers, too. Very good thinking!

  6. Your wine bar is great, Patti! What a clever idea. I'm going to forward the link to your post to my sister. She has the perfect spot to do something similar ... and they could save up the corks in no time - LOL! Thanks for visiting Cottage and Creek. Your wreath is the perfect accent piece for your wine bar. Nice job!

  7. Hi Patti,
I left a comment and then blogger went and messed things up and it didn't take...ugh!!
I love your cork wall, it looks awesome!! The cork wreath is the perfect accessory to complete the wine bar.
My idea for some of the leftover corks was to make some picture holders. Take a wire picture holder and put it in one of the corks. If one cork is not very stable I'm thinking you could wrap several corks together with some twine and then take the wire picture holder and put it in one of the middle corks (hope that makes sense).
    Have a great day.

  8. Hi Patti, what a great job on your cork backsplash - I LOVE it! I'm Lynn's sister and she's right; I have the perfect spot for this! It'll take awhile to collect all those corks, but I'm ON IT! Thanks for the great idea and I admire your creativity!

  10. I love your little wine corner! If you still have any corks left over at Christmas - they make great reindeer with toothpicks holding them together!!

Thanks for linking to a Round Tuit!
Hope you have a great week!

  11. Love your wine bar! I vote covering a tray or the outside of a frame and having a fabulous giveaway. ;) Or you could do a frame for yourself, prop it up on an easel, and list your 'wine menu' when you have guests over. Love what you've done thus far!
