I ran into Goodwill to drop off a few things probably some things I bought there and found this pathetic enamel baking dish. I saw it a few weeks ago and loved the shape of it and knew what I could do with it, but I walked away. Today when it "called me over" I decided to buy it and paint it. I taped off the edge trim:
I won't use this to cook in but it will be a cute accent piece!
And look at the cute placemats I found at The Christmas Tree Shop - only $1.00 ea:

That turned out very cute! I would never have thought of spray painting an enamel dish. I'm going to remember that. I always love your "doodling" projects. I like how the checks on the placemats go with your decor.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Great transformation, Patti. Have a great week! La
ReplyDeleteWow...sweet, looks great. Diane
ReplyDeleteYour checks turned out great!! Love the place mats!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so great, Patti! MacKenzie-Childs look at a Goodwill price! I was attempting to do a harlequin pattern on a topiary pot I wanted to freshen up, but I'm such a shaky person, I'm afraid to continue. I wish I could "doodle" like you!
ReplyDeleteI love how you add your check touch to things I would never even think of. You would love the floor in my tea room - black and white checks. =)

I love checks, and that diamond pattern...what's it's called? I always forget the name! Anyway, I am dying to do that to something. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! It reminds me of MacKenzie Childs. And I can't afford her hand painted ceramics so this is just brilliant! You are very talented!~Ames
ReplyDeleteYou are so clever...it looks awesome! Have you opened up your Etsy shop yet?!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks excellent! I love how it turned out! I don't think I could be that daring, one day, but I looove it!

Patti, you know I'm smiling at this project. You really have vision. It never would have occurred to me to paint something like this. I sure do learn a lot visiting my creative blogging friends. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteI was just about to copy the URL & send this link to Sarah, above when I saw that she had already been here! Why does that not surprise me??
ReplyDeleteThis was a brilliant idea & I could KICK myself for passing up several enamel containers just like this on Monday. I'll have to go back!!
Oh wow, I've never even HEARD of enamel spray paint! This turned out just beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI found you through Coastal Charm. I'm following you now! :)

OMYGOSH, girl, my daughter gave me a little MC CC pot just about like this and gave over 50 bucks for it. Amazing. You are so good at it...:)
