SNOW DAY! and a hot bowl of soup...

We had a snow day off from school today. I get just as excited as the kids when the school cancelations include our district!
Yesterday I received the new issue of Taste Of Home and the soup pictured on the cover caught my immediate attention:

It was soooo good, especially on an icy, snowy day, like today:
Here's the recipe:
Off to enjoy another serving!

  1. Pretty table setting and the soup looks yummy. Love a good soup and some crusty, flavorful bread. Off to heat up some BBQ leftovers. :D
    Stay warm.

  3. Patti, as a retired teacher I can so relate to the joy of a "snow" day. And that soup looks yummy. Nothing better on a cold day, especially if it's served up in a beautiful setting as you've done. I'm a MacKenzie-Childs fan, so your Taylor pattern plate caught my attention. Looks great with the checks and polkadots.

  5. I think teachers are MORE excited than the kids - - - especially if we KNOW in time to NOT get up and get ready for school!!!!
