Sweet Books and Glass Painting

With Valentine's day approaching, I have pulled out a few of my Susan Branch books. They are full of pretty watercolors, intricate handwriting, inspirational quotes and some great recipes:

And I have "discovered" painting on glass. Here is an salt cellar that I trimmed in black, white and gold and it is sitting in a Sydenstricker bowl. The salt dish was purchased for only $.29 at the Christmas Tree Shop. Glass painting is another fun way to "doodle" and there is more of this to come!!:
