Cheez-It Party Mix Chicken

Every now and then I make Cheez-It chicken, but tonight I had NO Cheez-Its, BUT I did have some of these Cheez-It Party Mix 100 calorie snack packs:

I opened a package and put the contents in a zip-loc baggie with 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs. I then "scrunched" them up,
and yes,
"scrunch" is a culinary term in this household!
I dipped the chicken breasts into a beaten egg and then coated them with the "scrunch". I "plopped" (another culinary term) them in a glass baking dish for 45 minutes.
MMM, MMM GOOD!
Feel free to adopt any culinary terms used in this post - my Nutrition Professors from college would be proud to know I have expanded my vocabulary!

  1. Scrunched and Plopped seem like great cooking onomatopoeias to me!

  3. That looks good. You can do it with pretzel sticks too. Takes a bit more scrunching though.
