I still had a few candlesticks I bought at the thrift store, so I decided to add some "height" to a few candles I bought for $5.00 at BBW. I soaked the bottom of the jars in water to remove the labels:Then I used epoxy to glue the candles onto the candlesticks:
Just a quick idea to add a bit of height. This would also work well with the large "jar" candles from Yankee Candle or Christmas Tree Shops.

without my hubby
Hi Patti,
ReplyDeleteThought I'd better say hi today. Keep your ideas coming & thanks for sharing! :)
Living it up at Lakewood,
Cindy
My husband loves the jar candles and always has one lit. It sticks out like a sore thumb to me on my sofa table so I think this would be a great idea to "dress" it up a bit.
ReplyDeleteGot a good laugh about your tassel....it could not be as bad as you are making it out to be! Have a great day.
Jane
Hi Patti,
ReplyDeleteI scrolled down your page and saw how you made your own apothecary jars, very clever. I appreciate the tip on using epoxy. I stop in my local thrift store anytime I’m in the area, so this will give me something new to keep my eyes open for.
Cathy
I love simple ideas like this one! I use to have time for crafts, now I have a two year old. Thanks for playing along with Toot Your Horn Tuesday. Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the informative article. I stumbled upon your post and am glad I did.. You explain everything very well and present it in an interesting way.
ReplyDeleteCheers. Have a good day, thank you!
