I'm fairly new to the Blogging World, but I have certainly noticed something in the past few months or so - we are all so closely connected! When I think I have come across a fabulous site, I see that one of their favorite sites is also one who enjoys another site that I have noticed on my favorite site's list of favorites!
This has made me come to a few conclusions:
1. We all like to share our talents, whether they be crafting, cooking, decorating, writing or photography and this is a fabulous way to share and find some new ideas.
2. We have wonderful inspiring tales to share about our daily life, travels or family.
3. We spend an awful lot of time on the computer!
I have always enjoyed magazines and I have saved quite a bit of money lately because I am finding the same enjoyment traveling around blogs. I am amazed at the creative talent and the lovely home decorating ideas I have seen. The tablescapes amaze me - to the point that I want to be invited for dinner. The imagination some people have is intriguing - their foresight to envision how a piece of junk can be transformed into beauty is amazing to me. This is so much more rewarding than a magazine because I can connect with the writers and get my questions answered!
So, this is my THANKS to all the wonderful blogs I have visited, the inspiration I have received, and the enjoyment I get daily!

Patti,
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet! I'm reading your post and saying 'Yep, I totally agree' and then discovered you posted my give away. Thank you! It is so nice to meet you and I look forward to knowing you better!
Living it up at Lakewood,
Cindy
Patti thanks so much for your lovely comments on my blog. I brush painted the table - think spray painting would be easier but I think spray painting here in the UK works out very expensive for bigger items as the cans cost so much. I have added you to my fave blogs so I can keep up with you :) I know what you mean about magazines - I don't buy near as many as I used to - I am a blogaholic!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Patti! Thanks for stopping by and checking out the living room and the new "fall" look. Seems like a waste of time, seeing as how the Christmas decor will be here before you know it! LOL! Anwyay, wanted to pop over to see what you're up to. Great post, this was! :) Oooo, and that piece to the left of the room is actually a china hutch to the dining room set. I think they called similar pieces "Jester's Chests" because of it's closed curio. It's actually the better of the three main pieces of the set we got for $200 from the neighbor when they were moving. I'm pretty sure it's oak with a jacobean stain, definitely router style, remniscent of the very popular Kittinger pieces of the 30's. Not Kittinger, but def. 30's - we really like it. Thanks for taking notice! :)
ReplyDeletePatti - I couldn't agree with you more! I too have always loved buying new issues of favorite decorating magazines but have found that I get more inspiration from the blogs I am following. There are a lot of very creative people that I'm happy are sharing their great ideas and projects (you included)!
