Looking for an easy side dish for summer?
Have you ever tasted cinnamon and pineapple flavors together?
Try this refreshing salad - it was a hit with company last weekend!
RECIPE:
- 20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained well
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup Red Hots candy
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 8 ounces whipped topping (Cool Whip)
- Drain pineapple juice off of canned crushed pineapple. Discard juice
- Combine pineapple flesh with cinnamon imperial candies.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- If all the candies have dissolved, proceed to next step. If not, stir and return to the refrigerator.
- Once the Red Hots candies have dissolved and the pineapple is red in color, stir in mini marshmallows and Cool Whip.
- Chill for a couple hours before serving
