This year I hand painted 15 glass ornaments for my tree submission for the Everson Museum's Festival of Trees and Lights:
This tree is a "corner tree".
It was designed to tuck into a corner as a space saver, perfect for a small room, an apartment, or a studio!
This is a fundraiser for the Museum and I have been participating for over 30 years.
The trees are sold throughout the two weeks.
The submissions this year are so unique and fascinating!
Local school chorus and choirs entertain during the day ....
...and lunch is available in the new Louise Cafe.
There are a variety of activities throughout the Festival like a wine and art workshop, water color painting classes, creating a menorah or dreidel, designing a clay gingerbread house, assembling a charcuterie tray, a sprinkles workshop and an opening night concert featuring a singer from The Voice.
If you are in the Syracuse area, this is a holiday event not to be missed, and it has been a tradition to participate and attend for many years!

The trees were amazing this year and hopefully this fundraiser brought in lots of money for future exhibits, classes and art for the museum!
You can also view many art exhibits. One in particular is a fascinating journey through the history of Syracuse’s newspapers in A Paper Trail: The Evolution of Syracuse’s Newspapers, where you can explore the lives and legacies of pivotal publishers, editors, and reporters. From Lewis Redfield and Horace Greely to Vivus Smith and S.I. Newhouse. This exhibit highlights the evolution of local journalism from 1816 to today.
Those trees are beautiful. I especially loved the mid-century modern style one. And your ornaments are gorgeous! What a cool fundraiser!
