Lunch with Susan Branch...and a recipe

Today was a good day to have a little lunch on the front porch.  I pulled out two of my favorite Susan Branch books (they are all my favorite, but these are my summer favs!!),
The Summer Book and Gratitude:

One of my favorite quotes is in the Summer book:

"Stay is a charming word in a friend's vocabulary"

Susan Branch lives on Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod, MA.  If you have never been to the island, you must add it to your "Bucket List"....Visit this post to read about my day stalking Susan, and visit this post to read about Martha's Vineyard

So as I perused through these books....

...I enjoyed a bit of leftover pasta salad for lunch on the porch!

 Pasta Salad:
1/2 box pasta wheels, cooked
1 can tuna
1/4 c chopped onion
1/4 c chopped celery
1 hard boiled, chopped egg
1/2 c or more Mayonnaise
Sprinkle with smoked paprika or smoked tomato seasoning.

  1. The pasta wheels remind me of my mom, she always used them for macaroni salad. One of the trips we started to plan this winter was to Martha's Vineyard, and we would love to visit again soon. It's a good time to look at Susan's books.

  4. Susan Branch is just the best, isn't she? I love all her books and have quite a collection of her darling mugs. I never saw her when I was in the Vineyard -- but then, just being at the Vineyard is joy enough!

  7. The pasta salad looks delicious! My hubby and I vacationed on Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and Cape Cod a few years ago, it was wonderful. I would love to go back! I received the KC feather canapé knives in the mail. Thanks again to all of your wonderful ladies for your generosity! Wishing you a lovely week!
