Do you need a little color on your holiday cookie tray?
Here is an easy cookie recipe with lots of color and flavor!
Jello Cookies
Makes 18 of each flavor
Preheat oven to 350'
Ingredients:
3 1/2 c flour
1 t baking powder
1 1/2 c butter, softened
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
4 3oz pkg jello - 4 flavors
food color
Directions:
Beat butter until creamy. Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Add flour and baking powder gradually. Divide dough into 4 sections and stir in 2 Tbs of jello into each section and add 7 drops of matching food color to each section.
Shape into 1" balls. Roll each into leftover jello. Place 2" apart on parchment covered cookie sheets. Flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass.
Bake 9 minutes and cool for 2 minutes on cookie sheet, move cooling racks.
The flavors I used were:
lemon
strawberry
lime
grape
These are such a pretty and tasty cookie to add to your holiday desserts!
