La Mojito....

Every spring I make sure to buy a mint plant...

...I never plant it in the ground as mint is quite invasive and spreads too quickly.

Mint is necessary for a perfect Mojito:

Mojito :
- 1 1/2 oz vodka
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 5  raspberries (optional)
- 4 oz club soda
- 6 - 7  mint leaves

Tear up the mint leaves and add them to an old-fashioned glass containing the lime juice and sugar. Press the leaves with the back of a spoon against the glass to release the aroma. Add vodka. Fill the glass with ice cubes and top off with club soda. Add the raspberries (optional). Mix and serve in "Old-Fashioned Glass"

ENJOY!

  2. A friend of mine warned me Patti about planting Mint in the ground. She was trying to give hers away she had so much of it. I have some in planters too and love smelling it. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  4. I love mint. My mother used to make mint jelly and it tasted so good in the winter when we were 'frozen in place'. lol Your idea looks pretty darned good to me, too. xo Diana

  5. I love that cute sunflower pot. I love mint too and use to have a lot in the yard, but over two hard winters I lost them all. I never thought anything would kill mint. I must my some more.

  6. I have never...I repeat NEVER...had luck planting mint!!! Yard or pot! It just...dies!!!😵 I’d love to have fresh mint at my disposal for tea and mojitos, but it just ain’t happening! People say mint is one of those plants you can basically just throw on the ground and it’ll grow like wildfire, but not for me!!!🤬 Happy Happy Hour to you!

  8. You are so smart! I never thought to buy a mint plant for a pot. I have avoided it for years because I didn't want it to invade my garden. Duh! I'm going out to get one and pot it for my lemonade.
