MacKenzie-Childs Table Setting and Painting on Fabric...

Everything seems to coordinate with the Courtly Check pattern by MacKenzie-Childs...

...the black flower market salad dishes are new to my collection...

...and they match my new painted tablecloth...

...did you know that you can paint on fabric?  The fibers in cotton fabric absorb the acrylic paint and it won't wash out!

The painted fabric is trimmed in black and white striped fabric to tie in with the checks on the dishes...

...and the M-C glassware...

....it was a perfect setting for salad and pasta...

....our large outdoor table set has been stored away for the winter...

...so this small, folding table was perfect for 2...

...napkins were tied around the flatware so they wouldn't blow away in the wind...

...and the highball glasses were used for water - no wine with dinner tonight...

...these wrought iron stands are perfect for enamel bowls...

...because when you put anything in or on enamel, it holds the heat, so these stands keep the bowls off the table!

We are enjoying the last few warm days of dining al fresco!

  3. Patti, that is SO pretty. Great job on the cloth. I love the Flower Market in black. Sad to see the outdoor furniture be put away, even though I am tired of the heat. Mr. P. asked me yesterday if I wanted him to put our umbrellas away - that would be a big, fat NO! Not ready.

  6. Gorgeous Patti! Painting on fabric is fun, but tricky because the fabric is absorbent, I've only done it a few times...and my wardrobe can attest that paint won't wash out!! What beautiful job you did!! Yes, MKC goes with everything! Love the black flower market plates. I like the enamel pieces, so much less stressful than worrying about breaking the pricier ones :)
