I have had an herb garden for years. Each year I plant them in different containers (soda crates, wine crates, metal tins, wooden boxes) and this year I decided to try large cans.
My nephew has a pizza shop and I spied these large cans:
I gave them a coat of spray primer:
Then I quickly added my favorite checks and sealed them with varnish:
This is the beginning of my "Herb Garden":
So far I have planted parsley...
...basil...
...and chives...
I still have a few more to paint to hold rosemary, oregano and thyme!

ReplyDeleteYou did an incredible job with this! I love it!
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow, woman...these are just about the cutest things I've seen lately.
ReplyDeleteI LUV this idea. I'm pretty much gonna kill for some of these...they would be so cute in my new pool side room, with all the windows and natural light.
I don't know where I might get large cans like this...maybe just ask the pizza place close to us if they would save me a few. Mr. Sweet could paint them for me...AFTER rolling his eyes....hahaaa...
Thanks for all your great inspiration..
xoxo bj
