The Mackenzie-ChildsFarmhouse at Christmastime

This is the M-C farmhouse in Aurora, NY.  After Pleasant Rowland bought the bankrupt company in 2001, the farmhouse was renovated.  It was to be used as a guest house for business guests.  Currently all guests can tour the house during store hours.

The front doors have square wooden wreaths, similar to the store's entry way:

The living room, to the right of the front door has an oversized Christmas tree decorated with Courtly Check ribbon and festive ornaments.  The room is furnished in checks and stripes and is grounded with the Poppy Rug:

The mantel  has three large stockings, topiaries and snowmen as decorations:

The center stairwell was decorated simply with fresh greenery and 3 different ribbons (Parchment, CC and Heirloom)

One of the bedrooms overlooks the duckpond, which is very congested in the summer during the Barn Sale!:

The game room on the 3rd floor had a simple, but sweet Christmas Tree with Santa close by:

Under the TV in this room was a miniature "farmhouse - look at those shutters!!:

And just in case you have never seen the CC bedroom:

Not so "unexpected" is this:

What a beautiful home!!

  1. Patti, thanks for taking the photos to share. I've been lucky enough to visit the farm house several years ago, but it wasn't at Christmas time. Fun to see the festive decorations..........Sarah
