Christmas Dinner Place Setting

This year I took toilet paper tubes and glued them together at one end and then I covered them with burlap ribbon:

I took some magnolia leaves and a gold Krylon Pen...

...and wrote everyone's names on them:

I took long strips of green pine and cut them in half.  I wrapped each piece around the tube and glued on a bell and a magnolia leaf.

This is how they turned out:

This is the place setting I am considering.  I admire those of you who can set the table ahead of time and take photos ~ this is as far as I can get!

The star plates are from Pier 1 Imports and the starry dinner plates were purchased at Target many years ago:

This is how I am imagining each place setting so far:

Now to plan the meal :-)

  2. Oh Patti, those are amazing!! Love the tutorial instead of just the project. Going to Pin and save it for next year.

I didn't know if you realized that in My Blogs on our Dashboards that your first photo doesn't show up. A large, fuzzy image of Pin It shows up. I had that very same issue but it was an easy fix by moving the Pin It HTML to below the photo (or somewhere else in your post.) Then whatever is your first photo shows up instead of the Pin It button. I hope it's ok to mention this.
