Jamaica in photos....

We were on the second cruise ship to ever enter the port of Falmouth, Jamaica and I must say, they were as happy to see us as we were happy to be there!
Don't even ask what I am doing in this photo - but it was fun!
The market was festive and colorful:
The traditional costumes were just as cheery:
We were entertained for hours by the locals:
In the hot, hot sun:
Our stateroom was behind the palm tree:
"No problem, mon"
Sweet, juicy fruit:
Balloon artists on stilts:
And the most beautiful, blue-green water:
I want to go back - sigh, sigh!
Come back tomorrow and visit Haiti

  3. I'm so jealous! You looked like you had a blast. Maybe one day I'll get to go. I'll just keep my fingers crossed and eyes closed tightly chanting "I want to go to Jamaica! I want to go to Jamaica!"

  4. Very interesting that you went to Jamaica. Last year when I took the senior class to Costa Rica, they (the kids) had originally voted for Jamaica. The lawyer who was overseeing our travel plans balked - - - he said it wasn't safe to go there, that there were travel warnings from the State Department. So, I asked the missions group with whom we would be working and the leader there told me he would take his own family to Costa Rica but NOT to Jamaica. That's when we shifted our plans and chose to go to Costa Rica.

    So - - - I'm wondering - - - did you feel safe in Jamaica?
