A quick change...

A $10.00 garage sale table...
and a $4.00 can of black spray paint...
Sara...here's your new end table! - Ray, I just saved you a few dollars!

QUESTION: Has anyone ever printed out their blog?
Tell me about it!

  3. Looks great - and so inexpensive!
I have never printed out Atticmag, but I "grab" my posts and save to a folder. "Grab" is a Mac thing.

  4. Saw your comment on Atticmag - thanks! Thought I would answer your "grab" question here, so you would see. Go to the top right corner and click on "Spotlight" --> the blue circle with magnifying glass - when the small search window pops up, type in "grab." Hit enter. I list with "grab" pops up. Mine is kept in the "Applications" section.. but this way is quicker to get to it. I use it so much, I keep it on my Dock.

When it's on your Dock, click it. Grab list will show up at the top left of screen, next to the Apple. Click "Capture." Then "Selection." Another little window pops up says something like "drag over the portion of the screen you want to copy." The arrow is floating, so you'll take it and drag your screen to capture the image showing.

(Sorry so long!). Once you copy, it pops up for you to save. Mine saves as a TIFF image, but you can always resave as a JPIG. fyi, the larger your captured image, the longer it will take for the copied image to pop up.

Hope that helps. If not, come back and ask questions. My Mac is about 3 yrs old, but I think they are all about the same.

  11. nicely done on the table, it definitely looks better in black :)
did you put a polyurethane or polycrylic top coat on it? i learned from experience that, with an end table, it's usually best to protect the spray paint, otherwise it'll start to get scratched off :/
