I have a problem. I have a sweet tooth. I love candy.
Anything with sugar...
Chocolate is NOT my favorite, but a good standby.
My favorite? Necco Wafers. I remember playing "Communion" with them as a young child. That means I have enjoyed Necco Wafers for 50 years.
I can't go to the movies without Necco Wafers. It's a must, a neccessity... it is crucial to have them after some popcorn!
But I think they have done something new with them. The flavors seem stronger, the colors are muted and the packaging looks different. I think I will do some research to see if I am right.
Anybody out there feel the same way about Necco Wafers??
They are nifty and thrifty...so I am joining Coastal Charm's Nifty Thrifty Tuesday Party. Stop over to see find some great thrifty ideas!

What great candy photos. Makes me want to hit the pantry right now but I'm trying soooo hard to be good. I've got that darn menopause=slower metabolism=can't eat all that I used to :(

ReplyDeleteAre you a long lost sister to my hubby or something???? He loves those Necco wafers too. Me??? NOT SO MUCH!
ReplyDeleteGive me chocolate, or give me death. (To quote someone who left a comment over at my place)
ME TOO! Love those wafers. They are addicting!
ReplyDeleteI remember playing communion, too!!! Too funny!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that the wafers are different. I like the chocolate ones, do you?
I love the colorful pictures you shared! Thanks!
Oh, these are one of my favorite candies too! I do think they've changed though, not quite as yummy as they used to be, but still good!

hI , YOU ASKED ABOUT MY LAMP.. THE MATERIAL WAS ALREADY A DRAPE THAT I MADE THAT HAD THE RUFFLE ON TOP AND PLEATS. sO I CUT THE BOTTOM PART OFF AND TURNED IT UPSIDE DOWN AND JUST GLUED IT LOOSLY WITH THE PLEATS, AND THE RUFFLE WAS THE BOTTOM PART. THERE IS 2 SEAMS IN IT ,. ON THE SIDES. IT IS NOT PERFECT BUT IT WORKS FOR ME. LOL. THE LAMPSHADE IS ROUND BUT IT ALSO GOES A LITTLE IN IN THE MIDDLE.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I had forgotten about Gertrude Hawk Chocolate until I saw that picture, I used to DIE for their milk chocolate. Necco wafers don't really do it for me, but in a pinch---enjoy the rest of your week, I just got back from the zoo!
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by my blog! i've never tried the necco wafers. i will have to give them a chance. i love that you played "communion". hilarious.
ReplyDeletePatti,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Second Street. To answer your questions, it was a vinyl bag and yes I used a regular machine and thread.
Hi Patty, my problem is...I like them all (I adore those wafers!) and chocolate, and the list can go on and on. I get the feeling I understand what you are saying about flavor changes. I remember years ago when M&M's used to be so chocolaty. They taste high fructose corn syrupy now, pure sugar. Not the same. Darn.
