Checks and Stripes….

Last week our family got together for dinner and we had 4 generations at the table

I set the table with my new Ikea dinner dishes and the table runner I made:

I found these red enamel salad bowls in Florida last year:

I used my new M-C butter house:

And here is a recent photo of the 4 generations:

  1. Patti, I was tempted yesterday with a set of white plates with bands of red circles. Thought they would look so cute with my McK-C chargers, but I left them behind. Need to weed out dishes, not bring more in. Ha!
Love the pops of red with the black and white.
    4 generations………wonderful photo op.

  2. The first things that come to mind looking at your table...big, bold and beautiful! I love red, black and white together.
    Treasure your 4 generation picture.
    Have a wonderful week, Patti.

  3. Love the colors! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  4. Happy and festive! There are 2 things here that are particularly magnificent - the MC butter house and the fact that you've got 4 generations together... :-) I can't think of a better thing to celebrate!!

  5. Love these colors together! This tablescape is really striking! How fortunate you are to be able to enjoy four generations together. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  6. I simply CANNOT wait until IKEA gets here this fall!!!!!!! I am just sitting on pins & needles!!! Those dinner plates are EXACTLY what I've been looking for to add to my collection. EXACTLY!!! I have a feeling Ramon is going to have to duct tape my hands to my sides to keep me from swiping that credit card this fall when IKEA opens its doors here!!! :-)

You set a wonderful table, Patti, and I really like the red enamel bowls with the black & white stripes. It has a really slick look! Looks like maybe there's a very thin rim of black on those bowls? And the whole thing looks great with the black & white checks in the center of the table. Really nice!

Four generations. That's wonderful! It's so great when we can get pictures like that! Thanks for sharing it with us, and have a great weekend!
