Who doesn't like jello? This was a staple dessert in my house growing up, probably because it was quick and easy to prepare and inexpensive!! Today I made some for my grandsons for Easter.
Rather than using Jello brand, I used Starburst gelatin, cherry flavor.
- To prepare Jello/Starburst gelatin jigglers the boiling water to Jello ratio is 1:1
- Don’t add any cold water!
- After stirring for about 2 minutes, pour into silicone molds. (You can also pour into a cake pan and when set use cookies cutters, but that is more time consuming!
- Refrigerate 3-4 hours until set and then place in freezer over night (this makes it easy to remove from mold)
- Pop out of molds, and bring to refrigerated temp. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve - enjoy!
Don't forget to give him a little tail of fresh whipped cream!
Very cute bunny jigglers. i just love all of the different molds they offer.
ReplyDelete1:1? How much water for 3.94 oz package. 4oz?
ReplyDeleteyes, 1:1, it's ok to add .06 oz extra!!!
DeleteI added 3/4 cup water to the 3.94 oz package to make jugglers
ReplyDeleteI didn’t understand the 1:1 description either and didn’t see the comment clarifying. I ended up following the box instructions for the Starburst jello, but skipped the cold water part. I did 1.5 cups and the jigglers came out perfect.
ReplyDelete4 oz pkg jello and 4 oz water is the "1:1 ratio"
