I am not sure if you remember this bundt cake fiasco, but I decided to buy a pan that made smaller cakes and give it one more shot!!
The idea behind the smaller cakes is that I won't eat it all - I can bring one to the neighbor, one to Mom and freeze the third. Eating one small cake within a few days makes more sense than eating a large one in a few days - right?
So this is the pan I bought:
I decided to make Pink Lemonade Bundt Cake - a recipe I found on Pinterest
I think some people put recipes on Pinterest to trick us - there were mistakes in the recipe and directions were not clear, but I tweaked it and it was just OK.
First and foremost, it is almost impossible to make a yellow cake mix "pink"...
…and you can't drizzle glaze on a bundt cake while it is still in the pan!
But luckily I read the recipe before preparing it and realized the silly errors.
Even though the cake was "orange"...
…the taste was just OK….
... so, there's no reason to post the recipe!
But it will not go to waste around here….
….And I have one in the freezer for next week!!:
Oh my that looks so yummy!

I like the idea of making smaller ones to freeze or give to friends. I think it's still a pretty cake, and the name is certainly cute. '-)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear the recipe wasn't right but your little cakes sure look pretty:@)
ReplyDeleteThese cakes look delishes . That is a great idea to make the small ones and freeze them. Why can't you use a white cake mix and put in lemon flavoring?
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
