Tales of the Traveling Tote #37

The Tales of the Traveling Tote is a series of adventures that share where our Mackenzie Childs tote bags have taken us.  Four times a year a group of 10 bloggers each write a connected post about the places we have been. We also offer a fabulous MacKenzie-Childs giveaway on one of the 10 posts each quarter.  We have built incredible friendships through our blogs and we hope you enjoy our tales as much as we do!  To read about how it all began, go HERE

A few fall table settings....

This table was set for a simple dinner for two in the dining room:

I stacked pumpkin plates from Hobby Lobby on top of MacKenzie-Childs Royal Checked enamel dishes on blue chargers from the Dollar Tree:

Dinner was simply a spinach salad and a bow tie pasta bake.

The coordinating blue buffalo checked pumpkin and the blue stemware were from the Dollar Tree.

***************
In this table setting for two I used my MacKenzie-Childs flutes edged ceramic dishes and topped them with Salad dishes from Walmart!

I adore the Black Tie flatware and Tango goblets:

A simple but elegant setting for a dinner of garden salad, roasted chicken and mashed potatoes!

Here are some old photos of past fall tables:

Fresh Peach Galette

What is a Galette?

A Galette is a rustic dessert tart made with fruit and a pastry crust. Instead of being baked in a pie plate or tart pan, a galette has a free-form crust that’s folded up over the filling.  The galette needs to cool a bit so the juices thicken, but it’s best either warm or room temperature.

Pickles and Cheese #2

I made these tasty snacks last holiday season for a little party and they were a big hit, so I decided to try them again for our afternoon snack and I changed it up  with a flavored cheddar......
