Summer Patriotic Tablescape and Kitchen Cart

Welcome to Panoply's Summer Tablescape Party!

My kitchen cart is decorated for the summer in a patriotic theme. Everything is close at hand when I need it, dishes, flatware, napkins.....

.....mini plates for appetizers....

a large platter for desserts....

...and luncheon plates....

My table is set for breakfast....

I always look forward to bringing out the MacKenzie-Childs enamel and ceramic Star Plates!

The red and white runner is from Target, the blue stemware is from Dollar Tree, the red star bowl and flatware are from Pottery Barn, the appetizer plates are from Hobby Lobby and the checked dinner plates and topiary are from MacKenzie-Childs.

The red, white, and blue color palette is highly symbolic due to the American flag and I like to keep using these colors all summer.

So, what's on the menu?

French Toast, fresh fruit and sausage patties.

Once again I am joining Rita from Panoply where a group of us share our seasonal table settings.

We won't be home this Thanksgiving as we will drive the 7-8 hr drive to Ohio to spend the week with our daughter and her family. So, this table is staged for a breakfast for two!

It's Pumpkin Season!

The summer weather is coming to a close in Central NY, so we relish the warm afternoons on the front porch.

Pineapple Delight

The pineapple is a symbol of welcome, warmth, friendship and hospitality. The other day I welcomed three friends to an afternoon of "pineapple tastings". I prepared a simple summer sangria, Fireball Pineapple Bites, and Pineapple Banana Bread.

Summer is the time for picnics, day trips, mini vacations, beach days, and eating our meals outdoors! My Royal Check tote bag is perfect to pack up a quick breakfast to enjoy down by the lake. I gathered some necessities and off we went.....

I recently had a last minute, impromptu lunch with a friend.

It's Time for Brunch!

I hade a little brunch the other day and here is what I served:

I set the table for 4:

I greeted my guests with Hawaiian Mimosas:

Spinach, pepper and onion quiche was delish!

The quiche bakes for about an hour at 375°

Crispy Bacon Curls are a different way to serve bacon - crunchy and full of flavor!

I made the Tater Tot Appetizer Cups, but this time I used Peppered Cranberry Jelly

Little donuts added a sweet touch!

It was all delicious!
